Session I: Lessons Learned

Building a successful business is no walk in the park and those who’ve been on that journey know it best. Startup founders who’ve experienced highs and lows on their way to success convene on this panel to discuss the challenges they faced and lessons they learned along the way. How and when do they know it’s time to pivot, change direction or even call it quits? What are some of the hardest decisions they had to make? What advice do they have for up-and-coming entrepreneurs at crossroads? A candid discussion demonstrating the power of being agile and nimble in the fast-moving and competitive startup landscape.

Session II: To Fund Or Not To Fund

Running out of cash and failing to raise new capital are the top reasons why startups fail, with failure being most common during the first two to five years of operation. Where do existing investors draw the line when it comes to further rounds of funding? How do they pick the companies to invest and keep investing in? Is there a deadline for achieving profitability? What’s their advice for founders on making the most out of the funds they raise? Some of Asia’s most prominent and active venture capitalists weigh in and share insights based on their experiences.
